Specializing in Watercolor Techniques and Landscape Paintings
Bob Regan began painting in the third grade. He specializes in watercolor technique and his focus is landscape paintings. Regan’s work has been influenced by notable watercolor artists; Philip Jamison, Nita Engle, and Andrew Wyeth. As a result, you will find Regan’s realism abundantly rich with blends of pigment in both wash and dry brush.
Regan uses the Timeless Museum Quality of Giclée Graphics
Giclée is a French term for “to spray” or “to squirt.” It is the process that a specialized inkjet printer uses to reproduce fine art, which creates individual copies of the original piece. It is important to note not all inkjet prints are giclée prints. With giclée printing, you can expect a higher quality product that lasts much longer than your run-of-the-mill inkjet prints. There are certain criteria that must be met for a print to be considered a giclée. Giclée prints incorporate the highest quality printers and archival pigment-based inks with a 200-year lightfastness.
To uphold the quality of a true giclée, the resolution must be at least 300 dots per inch (DPI). Think about when you zoom in on a photograph. The more you zoom in, the more distorted the image becomes. To maintain the integrity of the work, you must increase the DPI because the more dots there are in a small space, the more detailed the final product becomes.
Every Bob Regan artist proof and limited-edition print (signed and numbered) use the unique Giclée Process. Giclée printing provides higher image detail than traditional photographic printing. Using seven dye-based inks, Giclée prints offer vibrant color reproduction and enhanced image clarity. This allows you to own the highest quality fine art on premium acid-free watercolor paper.
